Website: http://m-win.com.ua/
Niche: Online store selling military goods
Region: Ukraine
Platform: WordPress
Client Background
The client came to us after working with another SEO agency that had been supporting the project for a long time. The main concern from the business owner was straightforward: there are rankings, but no sales. On paper, the reports showed growing keyword positions, but in reality, the business did not feel any impact on revenue or conversions.
Having conducted an in-depth audit, our team identified several critical issues that were blocking the project’s growth:
- The previous specialists focused on ranking informational and low-frequency keywords with no purchase intent. As a result, the website had “nominal” visibility, while priority commercial keywords (the ones that actually generate revenue) remained outside the TOP-50.
- Traffic was coming from overly broad or irrelevant search queries, which did not match the target audience’s intent.
- Very short time on site and a minimal number of returning users indicated that the content did not meet user expectations or search intent.
- The previous contractor worked in a purely mechanical way – building backlinks and writing keyword-based texts without analyzing the customer journey or evaluating the effectiveness of chosen categories.

Solution
We conducted an audit of the existing keyword rankings and removed search terms that generated traffic but did not convert into orders. A new semantic core was developed with a strong focus on transactional queries (buy, price, catalog) for high average order value categories such as tactical clothing, footwear, and sleeping bags.
We also fully cleaned up technical issues across the website, including 404 errors, duplicate pages, and incorrect redirects, which were negatively affecting the indexing of priority pages. SEO texts were rewritten to make them more conversion-oriented and sales-driven. Titles and meta descriptions were updated with clear value propositions (USPs) to improve click-through rates.
Results
Traffic performance metrics

For the period November 2025 – January 2026, Organic Search (SEO) showed the highest engagement level (62.75%) and the longest average session duration (53 seconds).

Comparison with the same period last year clearly highlights the difference in approach: previously, the website experienced stagnation or growth driven by irrelevant search queries. In contrast, we now observe a strong qualitative improvement driven by the commercial keyword set.
The number of impressions in Google increased significantly compared to the previous year. This indicates that Google now considers the website more relevant and authoritative within the military niche.
Keyword Ranking Growth Dynamics

The main success achieved in this phase was our work with keywords. A large number of search queries that were previously outside the TOP-50 (or not indexed at all) moved into the TOP-20 and TOP-30 positions. As shown in the screenshot, even during a challenging period (late December – January), when the market typically experiences a seasonal decline, the selected rankings remained stable and did not drop. This demonstrates that we have built a strong foundational authority for the website. If the keywords had been “pushed” artificially (as was done by previous contractors) any fluctuation in demand or search algorithm updates would likely have caused the site to lose visibility in search results. Instead, we observe consistent position stability and retention.
Overall Overview of the Website’s Link Profile (SEMrush)
As shown in the screenshot below, the main traffic surge began around March-April 2025. Prior to this period, the website demonstrated minimal performance metrics (close to zero), which suggests that either the project was newly launched or that active SEO efforts started only at that time. This marks the point where systematic SEO optimization and link-building activities began to have a noticeable impact on visibility and traffic growth.

After a sharp increase in summer 2025, traffic stabilized and entered a plateau phase with minor fluctuations. The second graph shows a slight decline at the end of 2025 – beginning of 2026, which may be related to seasonality or Google algorithm updates (see screenshot below).

Traffic reached approximately 2.0K–2.9K visits per month.
By the end of March, the majority of keywords were positioned in the 21–50 and 51–100 ranges (light blue zones). The website was already indexed for a wide range of queries, and most of them showed steady upward dynamics. At the same time, there was a noticeable increase in the number of keywords ranking in the Top 3 (orange) and Top 10 (dark blue) positions.
Detailed keyword performance:
Camouflage nets and “ghillie suits” category:
This is the strongest niche of the website. Keywords such as “military camouflage net”, “camouflage nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, and “ghillie suits for military use” consistently held positions 1–2 throughout the entire period.
“MK 19 backpack”, “grenade launcher backpack”, “Browning backpack” – stable #1 position. Search queries “anti-drone nets” and “anti-drone camouflage net” also reached positions 1–3. Queries such as “buy sleeping bag for the Armed Forces of Ukraine” and “winter military sleeping bag” stabilized in the TOP-5.
Conclusion
The Military Winner SEO case clearly demonstrates that traffic quality is significantly more important than its nominal volume. The shift from mechanical link building to strategic content marketing and deep semantic development allowed us to transform the website from an informational platform into an effective sales-driven tool.
We successfully shifted the focus from generic queries to high-intent transactional keywords (such as “buy” and “price”), which attracted a more relevant, purchase-ready audience.
The website achieved stable Top 1–3 rankings in key specialized equipment categories, including grenade launcher backpacks, anti-drone nets, and camouflage gear. This established strong authority for the resource within the military niche and ensured consistent visibility in highly competitive commercial segments.
In just 3 months of work, the client moved from “paper-only” reports provided by previous contractors to real growth in visibility across priority commercial categories – tactical clothing, footwear, and sleeping bags. The website currently maintains stable organic traffic of approximately 2.0K–2.9K visits per month, while the majority of targeted queries continue their steady progression toward the TOP-10 positions.
