DIMAQ Professional: The European Digital Marketing Standard Is Now in Ukraine

Digital marketing is changing so fast that judging a specialist’s real level “by eye” is getting harder and harder. That is exactly why Europe has DIMAQ – an international certification that validates a marketer’s knowledge against a single standard. In 2026 it became available in Ukraine for the first time, and the LuxSite Digital Agency team already has certified specialists.

What Is DIMAQ

DIMAQ (Digital Marketing Qualification) is a qualification standard and certification programme for digital marketing knowledge. The methodology was developed by experts at IAB Polska – one of the strongest industry organisations in the Polish internet market – and the programme itself is recommended by IAB Europe. The certification is recognised in a number of European countries, and a certificate obtained in one of them carries the same weight in any other.

The certification has two levels – Basic and Professional. The Professional exam consists of 80 test questions to be answered in 60 minutes. It covers 12 areas of digital marketing: from strategy and media planning to performance tools, analytics and programmatic, so it can only be passed with deep expertise.

An important feature: the certificate is not issued for life. It has a limited validity period, and to renew it a specialist must keep developing – attending industry events and training, and taking part in the professional community. In other words, DIMAQ confirms not only knowledge at the time of the exam, but also that the specialist keeps their finger on the pulse.

DIMAQ Comes to Ukraine

IAB Ukraine has become the Ukrainian operator of the certification. The programme has been adapted to our market, but most of the material remains common to all of Europe. So Ukrainian marketers take the exam to essentially the same standard as their colleagues in the EU. The first DIMAQ exam in Ukraine took place in September 2026.
